Call for applications: The Wildlife Institute of India training courses on natural heritage management in 2026

The UNESCO Category 2 Centre Wildlife Institute of India (WII-C2C) for World Natural Heritage Management and Training for the Asia and Pacific Region is calling for applications from international participants for a new cycle of fully sponsored Natural Heritage capacity-building courses. The sponsorship includes round-trip air travel, accommodation, and a nominal daily allowance.

These courses are specifically designed for international participants and are implemented through the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) programme of the Ministry of External Affairs of the Government of India.

Applications are open to Natural Heritage Site Managers (preferably), government officials involved in Natural Heritage or protected area management, academics, and professionals from the tourism sector in ITEC partner countries (https://www.itecgoi.in/ITEC_Countries).

Starting in April 2026, three upcoming courses are as follows:

Since its launch, WII-C2C has trained over 90 professionals from nearly 40 countries through six international courses delivered under the MEA-ITEC programme.
